Who We Are

Manna C.A.R.E.S. Optimist Club is our Social Club for persons with disabilities. An official Club registered with Optimist International, Manna C.A.R.E.S. provides leadership opportunities and a safe social environment. All offices of our Club, President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, are held by our Club members with an adult mentor to assist with their duties. Training resources are provided by Optimist International. Officers plan and manage our meetings. Additional leadership opportunities include District Conferences, District Offices, etc.

The Club meets the first and third Wednesdays of every month to go over Club business as well as fun events such as Game, Movie, and Karaoke Nights. The second and fourth Wednesdays are dedicated to our Craft Club.

A main tenet of Optimist Clubs is to serve our community. At Manna C.A.R.E.S. Optimist Club, we put on several community events throughout the year including Trunk or Treat, Thanksgiving Dinner, Christmas Dinner and Party, Valentines Party, Easter Egg Hunts, Block Parties and Back to School Bash! All Club members participate in the planing and running the events themselves!
